Superior Vision is a vision insurance company that offers group and individual vision insurance plans from Versant Health. The company has a group of in-network eye doctors who accept the insurance and provide care to patients at negotiated rates for a copay.

Even if you don't wear glasses or contacts right now, it's a good idea to protect your eyes with vision insurance. Superior Vision is one insurance company you may want to consider when shopping for coverage.

What is Superior Vision insurance?

Superior Vision sells vision care plans directly to individuals and also offers group plans through employers.

Superior Vision is smaller and less well known than some large vision insurance providers such as VSP or EyeMed. But it may be a good option for individuals in some areas and business owners looking to add group vision insurance to their employee benefits.

Superior Vision has a group of more than 60,000 in-network eye care retailers. This includes the top 50 vision care chains and over 104,000 eye doctors, according to the company.

Is Superior Vision VSP?

Superior Vision is not VSP: the companies are two different vision insurance companies. VSP is one of the largest vision insurance providers with 88 million members around the world. Like Superior Vision, VSP also maintains a large network of eye doctors.

Superior Vision insurance plans

It's important to note that Superior Vision isn't available everywhere for individuals. You have to type in your zip code to see if it's available in your area

You can also check the website to see available plans and also how much each plan would cost for just you, or you plus one other person or your whole family. Keep in mind that individual plans you buy on your own may differ from group coverage offered at your job.
