About: Carolyn Barden is an editor at AllAboutVision.com. She started wearing glasses in fourth grade and still remembers the first time she could see individual leaves on the trees outside.

Barden is considered a glaucoma suspect with high myopia, and she has yet to lose the “Who has the highest glasses/contacts prescription?” game. A Texas native, she has a bachelor of arts in communication from Trinity University and master’s degrees from the University of Tennessee and Southern Methodist University.

When she’s not working, Barden loves going to concerts and pub quiz, watching British TV mysteries and training with her English springer spaniel in canine nose work.
