About Dr. Chan

Dr. Kevin Chan is the Senior Clinical Director of Treehouse Eyes, the first and only specialty eye care company dedicated exclusively to providing myopia management for children across the U.S. (and in the process of expanding worldwide). 

Dr. Chan graduated with the distinguished dual degrees of Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) and Master of Vision Science (M.S.) from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. He further enhanced his clinical experience of specialty contact lens fitting for myopia management at Pacific University in Oregon. 

Prior to optometry school, he earned his undergraduate degree in Pharmacology at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Chan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. As a member of Essilor’s Myopia Task Force, he is leading the initiatives of myopia awareness. He was featured in the renowned TEDx talk titled, “Myopia – Global Epidemic,” in 2019. 

He was one of the few panelists in the U.S. selected to partake in the inaugural Ophthalmology Innovation Summit (OIS) – Myopia Showcase in 2021. He was also privileged to be part of the inaugural American Optometric Association (AOA) Leadership Institute Class in 2020.

Throughout his career, Dr. Chan has been a frequent speaker and contributor in various optometric events and platforms, including the Global Specialty Lens Symposium (GSLS), Vision By Design (VBD), Review of Optometry, Review of Myopia Management and Contact Lens Spectrum, to name a few. 

Dr. Chan was awarded “Best Eye Doctor (category – optometrist)” by Washington Parents Magazine in 2020. He has been an active member of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), American Optometric Association (AOA), Maryland Optometric Association (MOA), and American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (AAOMC).
