Madison started wearing maroon wire-rimmed glasses at nine years old and switched to contact lenses by age 10. She experimented with colored contacts for many years, keeping everyone guessing about what eye color she’d have each day.

Upon earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University, Madison spent two years teaching English in Hong Kong. She then began her career in health care writing after returning to the U.S. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children.
